Behind the Scenes: Bringing Satva to Life at Raja Nahar Singh Palace

Every brand has a beginning, and ours started with an unforgettable day at the magnificent Raja Nahar Singh Palace, Faridabad, Haryana.

As we prepared to launch Satva, we wanted our first collection to be photographed somewhere that reflected everything the brand stands for, timeless elegance, thoughtful design and a sense of calm luxury. The palace, with its beautiful arches, intricate courtyards and rich heritage, proved to be the perfect backdrop for our collection of bathrobes, pyjamas, dresses, tote bags, cosmetic bags and carefully curated homeware.

Of course, no photoshoot is ever quite as effortless as the finished photographs make it appear!

Our shoot took place during one of India’s wonderfully humid summer days. Between moving products from one location to another, keeping fabrics looking fresh and trying to stay camera-ready ourselves, there were plenty of moments that tested our determination. Hair had a mind of its own, everyone was reaching for water bottles between shots, and there was certainly no shortage of laughter as we embraced the heat.

Despite the humidity, the atmosphere on set was nothing short of fantastic. Our team worked tirelessly, our model remained incredibly patient, and every person involved brought such positive energy to the day. What could have been a challenging shoot quickly became one filled with smiles, encouragement and shared excitement as we watched Satva slowly come to life through the camera lens.

One of our favourite parts of the day was seeing our collection styled together for the very first time. Soft cotton robes draped beautifully against the palace’s historic architecture, relaxed pyjamas captured effortless comfort, elegant dresses flowed through the courtyards, while our tote bags and cosmetic bags added those practical everyday touches we love. Alongside them, our carefully selected homeware pieces from Wishing Chair complemented every scene perfectly, creating spaces that felt warm, inviting and effortlessly stylish.

As we reviewed each photograph throughout the day, we were reminded why we started Satva in the first place. We wanted to create more than just a shop, we wanted to curate beautiful pieces that elevate everyday living at an accessible price. Whether it’s wrapping yourself in a luxurious bathrobe after a long day, carrying a tote that becomes your daily companion, or adding thoughtful homeware to your living space, we believe the little things have the power to make life feel more special.

Launching a new brand is both exciting and nerve wracking. This photoshoot marked an important milestone on that journey. Looking back, we’ll remember far more than the humidity. We’ll remember the incredible setting, the creativity, the teamwork, the laughter and the sense that something exciting was beginning.
